We are fine, although we are hosting some of our evacuated family. Good times.

Sariah belongs on Heroes.
October 14, 2007If you’ve never seen the show “Heroes” before, watch this brief intro…
So why does Sariah belong on Heroes? Well, I have pinpointed a quirk that I believe is an early manifestation of superpower:

Doctor visit #2
October 9, 2007Well I guess we are doing something right. We just visited the doctor yesterday for Sariah’s 2 week check-up. This means we are doing something right because she actually survived long enough to make it to this appointment. Here’s some basic information:

More pics.
October 7, 2007Sariah with her Auntie Robin and Cristina with her niece Elodie. Elodie is certainly a cutie with those big blue eyes. I’ll give her that.
Sariah with her great grandma and “middle-name-sake”: Lena
Sariah doing her Angelina Jolie impersonation… We injected her lips with collagen the day she was born

Goodnight, funnyman.
October 7, 2007I have found that it is a common source of amusement to the general public to ask new parents (specifically: me) if they are getting any sleep. To this I patiently explain for the 227th time that no, we are not getting much sleep. This is because the anatomy of a newborn child does not allow more than a couple of hours to pass without something going in or something coming out.

If you want to visit…
October 1, 2007We’ve had lots of requests to visit us and Sariah and we love it. Everyone is welcome although we would like to try and space out the visits a little bit. If you want to stop by, go ahead and call: 951-303-thirty-one, twenty-one
Or email me: moore dot ryan at gmail dot com
We will pencil you in for a time slot, especially if you bring cookies or dinner or crickets (for our frog)

How it all finally happened…
October 1, 2007Okay, okay, the people have spoken… I’ll go ahead finish the story, continued from here (Sorry Sariah, I was going to take my time and include every detail for you but apparently some people are suffering from Attention Deficit Disorder, which is really sad becau — Hey look, a pony!)
So Cristina went in for her ultrasound and the ultrasound technician estimated the baby at close to 8 and a half pounds. My how the world changes when you know that instead of potentially carrying the baby up to and beyond the due date, you are now looking at delivering a week early. When Cristina reported to me the results I said:
“Well dear, you’d better give me that martini, you’re going to need to be sober for the next couple of days…”
